Board of Directors Application

The Specialty Soya and Grains Alliance (SSGA) is seeking qualified candidates to run for election to fill two open seats on the Board of Directors. SSGA strives to improve sales opportunities for high quality field crops grown for a purpose, improve the supply chain and support allied companies throughout the value chain, including agronomy, data, finance, insurance, logistics and transportation.

Qualifications to run for election:

• Candidate must be a Premium Member of SSGA (or an employee, producer or designated representative of a Premium Member).
• Candidate must agree to serve a 3-year term.

Election Process:

• Candidates must submit the biography form below by Monday, January 8, 2024.
• All qualifying candidates’ names and biographies will be distributed to membership by mid-January.
• Election will be held during the annual meeting by voting members of SSGA (Full and Premium Memberships qualify as voting members) in attendance. One vote per member.
• Board members are elected to serve a 3-year term with a limit of 3 consecutive terms.

Board Member Expectations:

• Provide leadership representative of the high quality soya and grains industry and supply chain and support the mission of SSGA to be the national voice of the industry.
• Serve as volunteer with some reimbursable expenses.
• Attend board meetings regularly and participate with their ideas and commitment of time to improve and grow the organization – bringing attention to this important sector of American agriculture.

The annual meeting will be held March 12, 2024 in Toledo, Ohio.
